Invitation to Learn German for Global Employment Opportunities

Kaelo Technical and Vocational College invites all interested trainees to register for German language training as part of a national initiative aimed at preparing Kenyan citizens for overseas employment opportunities, particularly in Germany and other European labour markets.
The Government of Kenya, through the State Department for Diaspora Affairs, in partnership with HTV Africa, Youth Fund, Uwezo Fund, and Meru University, has committed to equipping approximately 50,000 Kenyans annually with the skills required to access the German labour market. Meru University will serve as the regional hub, working closely with TVET institutions to facilitate this programme.
Programme Details
Mode of Learning: Largely online
Levels Offered:
A1 – Beginner (2 months)
A2 – Elementary (2 months)
B1 – Intermediate (2 months)
Certification: German language proficiency (aligned to international standards)
Opportunities: Job placement support in Germany and other European countries upon completion
Registration Information
Eligibility: All interested Kaelo TVC trainees
Registration Office: Deputy Principal – Academics Office
Deadline: 18th February 2026

Kaelo Technical and Vocational College wishes to inform all prospective trainees and the general public that the institution offers Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) in accordance with TVETA and CDACC guidelines.
RPL is a pathway that allows individuals with skills, competencies, and work experience—but without formal academic certificates—to be assessed and admitted into appropriate training levels.
Who Qualifies for RPL?
Individuals who have:
Relevant work experience in a technical or vocational field
Skills gained through informal training, apprenticeship, self-employment, or on-the-job learning
No KCSE certificate OR did not meet traditional academic entry requirements
